I'm getting some conflicting info in my search for a n/s wing mirror glass and back plate. I being told by some people that the Tuscan wing mirror is off a Scirocco and by others that it's from a Corrado, not sure if they were the same?

Anyone know for definite which it is? And which year as there are 3 different Scirocco mirrors and probably more than 1 Corrado

They are from a Corrado, I got my glass from the VW/Audi dealer, not cheap though, one dealer was cheaper than the other so it's best to shop around, also make sure you tell them it is for the British market and which side of the car, if you don't get a British one the mirror will be a different magnification depending on which side.

Thanks Kevin. I'm assuming yours was for your Cerb? And from what I can tell this is the same as on the Tuscan?

I've been ringing around and can't find it any cheaper than £70 which is ridiculous. I'm leaning towards just buying the glass that sticks on the back plate as I never use the heated mirror anyway - didn't even realise it was heated until I saw the element

Blimey!
I'm sitting here crying my eyes out, watching Red Nose Day. These people in Africa don't even know if they'll survive to see next week, and you're worried about yor wing mirror!
Send the money you'd have spent on a piece of mirror to RND09, and save about 14 people from malaria, for the same money.

Ah hello Tuscan Chick long time no hear, seems you've been keeping your eye on my posts again. How do you know I haven't already given RND more than the cost of a mirror?

Another place to try is http://www.wingmirrorman.co.uk/

As for Red Nose Day, if you saw how little of it filters through to the people that matter then you wouldn't give them a penny ! Just a bunch of two-bit 'celebs' wanting a pat on the back and the credit for raising money. The likes of Sainsbury's, Jamie Oliver, eBay etc all make a big deal of it but keep a good 30% for themselves. Better to donate directly to a charity or do your own fund raising.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Why don't you sell your Tuscan and send that money - you could always take the bus ?

Why oh why whyTwo did you buy a TVR if you winge everytime you have to put your hand in your pocket.

I have a spare one you can have. I was only going to throw it.
How about contributing a small sum to the rednose appeal

Try asking on http://www.the-corrado.net loads of people breaking cars in there.

All corrados had the same heated mirrors. Late ('93/94 on) ones are wired different to early though.

Its definitley NOT a Corrado mirror. I bought the glass off ebay and although it'll fit it's not exactly the right shape. Have sent them a template I made and asked them to compare against a Scirocco. Will let you know how it works out.

Girl Power I'm sorted thanks, ebay it.

How funny!
I hope you don't think that's me! I would like to think I'm a little bit more feminine looking than that.
