Have you got them dipped? My factory fit ones are only on when the beam is undipped and remain off on a dipped main beam.

have viewed lotustalk.com and they talk about having to put in extra relay,
anyone had to do this

Odd, I've done it myself on one car and had a mate do it on his and it was simply a case of plugging them into the loom with the 'spare' connectors and away you went, no need for extra relays or anything.
