Probably a re-post but thought you might be interested in this bit of historic footage of the lamborghini factory from 1968.

Shame there's no REAL music with it.

Dave.

I actually found that footage last night but it had no sound and was supposed to be straight from the cine camera or whatever was used to film it. Great piece of history there with the Marzal on the transporter.

Great find.

I guess I wasn't the only one humming Matt Monroe, as they're out driving?

lovely bit of old film there - great find, well done!

As SC sort-of says, hitting the 'shut-up' button and watching in silence is better...

That MUST be Bob Wallace driving the yellow Miura away on test... maybe it's Valentino Balboni parking another by the workshop doors as well - they were both there in 1968, Bob for just a few more years, VB for just a short initial, probational period of 40 years! D'y' reckon they might keep him on permanently or that he might have decided he wants to go and work some place else instead?

The Marzal on the transporter may be headed back to Bertone, who still have it of course and it (probably) still works. The Espada behind seems to have a shorter, more pointed rear side window... another Bertone prototype, perhaps?

I heard that when a Miura was collected from the factory in those days, the warranty period extended until the sound of the car's exhaust could no longer be heard as it was being driven away.

The moving footage in that Islero shows people driving on the left - so, taken in the UK somewhere?

Eeeeee, it w'us all fields 'round here back then, pretty much like it still is...

The link to the same piece of footage but over a minute longer is:

This has no sound and says the Factory film is Summer 1968 and the red Islero piece is from 1969.
