Hi,

I read the PistonHeads headlines on an RSS feed. The links do not work, I always have to get back to the PistonHeads website. Is there an issue?

What exactly is happening when you click the links? It should either open the PH news story in your RSS reader or your browser depending on how your RSS program is set up.

Which RSS feed are you using? can you post the URL of the feed?

I'm using http://www.pistonheads.com/xml/news091.asp?c=26 which seems to be working fine!

I've done a little bit of digging and I think it's to do with Safari's rendering of RSS. The described behaviour occurs on both Safari for Mac and for Windows. Firefox for Mac and Windows are fine. It's a relatively recent thing - other RSS feeds that I subscribe to are unaffected. However, all of my other feeds are either Atom or RSS 2.0.

Safari 3.2.2 was released on 12th March which would, in hindsight, be about the time this problem started occurring, I believe. However, the PH feed doesn't validate due to the undefined GUID element: http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A... Saving a local copy of the RSS feed and deleting the GUID elements then results in a working rendering of the feed.

I've taken the GUID out of the feed, it should hopefully start working again now!

Thanks for your help!
