My dilemma:

A couple of years back I had the front end of my TVR Griffith repainted (Moonraker Black Metallic). The colour match was perfect and the finish good; unfortunately there was a small measure of filling which sank back. This didn't manifest until the bodywork had been through a couple of heat cycles. The body shop tried blending this out through the depth of lacquer but without much success. It's never really looked terrible but it does niggle (because I know it's there and it catches the light on occasion). Some micro blisters have also developed over the time (possibly from being kept under a waterproof cover).

I want to get the job done again and the bodyshop are willing to help but are now fully switched to the HS system whereas before they used MS. This I'm told means that the bodywork needs heating to 60 degrees in a prticular cycle. This is what worries them and why they no longer take on anything in GRP as hidden repairs could suddenly break through. From what I understand, we now have to use a product that is less durable, is more costly, means big investment for the bodyshop and can't be used on certain materials! Am I right or talkin' out of my asre?!

So, I'm looking for a reputable body shop in Cornwall/Devon that can give me satisfactory results; hopefully someone still using MS and conversant in the ways of GRP.
