Help With Nitrons please
Discussion
Could anyone tell me the Bump/rebound settings for road use please.
Also ride height front and rear. (ground to wheel arch).
book says 126mm ground height.
OE Bilstiens seemed very high at the back, and rock hard
I know all this is subjective, I just need a starting point to work from.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
Cheers

Never measure ride height from ground to the arches, could all vary so much. Also ride height front and rear. (ground to wheel arch).

Dont forget it is a handbuilt car. It is normally measured at the front and rear corners of the outriggers to the ground.
Front about 140-145mm, rear about 15mm higher is the usual start point.

As little as you can get away with, IIRC mine are about 7 & 5 from soft, let the springs do the work rather than trying to stiffen the suspension with the damping
Always cycle through the full settings occasionally to keep them in good working order, should be set from hard, I count from soft, then all the way up & down (its kind of easy work not too strenuous - just get comfy to do it
)Best also to check that on full droop you still have some pre-load on the springs otherwise you may get some unwanted clattering
