Phew! That was a long day. Having previously paid someone else £300 to detail my car I thought I'd have a crack myself. There's quite a lot of work involved you know. wink
Started at 9 o'clock and just finished at 6.30.
Started off with a rinse and wash with Autoglym bodywork shampoo and another rinse and dry with a water magnet. Then out with the Meguiars smooth surface claykit and a good claying with Meg's quik detailer and another wash and dry with R222 bodywork conditioning shampoo. Stopped for a pint and sandwich. A good polishing with Autoglym super resin polish then the good stuff: R222 100% carnauba paste wax - a pleasure to use. Finished off with Chemical Guys synthetic quick detailer.
Fecking hard work but what a result. Chuffed is not the word. Unfortunately it's dark now but it still looks fantastic.
The only problem now of course is, I now realise I've only just started. I now have to look to the real detail - the chrome, the black stuff, the wheels, the interior... does everyone get it bad like this? I fear my weekends will no longer be my own.
