I have found a guy who bubble arches fibre glass cars, i have seen his work on a 9.1ltr Corvette and a TVR 70's griff, both race cars, and they look solid! What do you reckon guys, thinking some bespoke split rims to go with them. Of course i know it will no longer be original! hehe

Brummie, if I get my way when the body-off is happening, we're going for something similar. winkthumbup

Doooo it. Btw, shotgun these image wheels; http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/large_wheel_pages/b10... Do not copy! Its bad enough having a superior powered Cerbera on our doorstep, let alone one that looks almost as good*.

  • Blue, in case alot of you have forgotten; is best.
Edit: thanks for the diff oil thing too, we'll be sorted by the end of tomorrow hopefully. smile

Image are the wheels that are on these cars that i have seen, the TVR had 5 spoke splits on it, either those or the ones you have identified already are what i was thinking of, whom ever does it first will be the victor, the other the imitator! wink

Me or Brummmie?

Fear not for our Cerb, if we go that way, it'll be more of a subtle Martin-short-esque GT sans wing, than Pheonix. thumbup Subtlety is the key to the Cerbs true beauty IMHO.

Don't do it. You will turn a sleek beautiful design into a boy racer special. All IMHO.

These race cars look double ard! I'm not talking fake mesh vents and that sort of crap, but think more like those MGB flared arch racers. How he does it is by cutting the original arch, and "fanning" the arch outward and then fill in the gaps.

BTW i HATE stainless blingy rimmed wheels, if they have bolts around the outside they have to be real splits, or not at all.

I have seen the MGB,s like it. Lister done the same with the XJS. I dont think it will look right on The Cerb.Just my opinion.

I agree they look good on race cars, and some road cars that are modified. Just not on the sleek Cerb in my view.

I think your Cerb is "perfect" just how it is!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I'm 100% honest......they are a cheaply made Alloy for the money. Part of the reason they had to be striped down and powder coated. Centres started to flake like mad. Though the outer rim was good. If you scuffed them you could rub them back and polish them back to new very easy or replace the outer rim for 250quid.

For racing purposes, sure. But not a road car. Changing the alloys is one thing. But modifying the bodywork TVR did such a good job at getting right in the first place? No. But thats just my opinion.

What is it you like about the Cerbera Brum? Is it the interior? hehe

seriously its not just styling, but I struggle with traction.
