Door Lock

Hi I have done a search but cannot find any information. Basically door wouldnt open but the acctuater was working fine so i stripped the lock down eventually and all the plastic bits fell out. I will order one from douglas valley tomorrow. My question is the only thing i disconnected to get the lock out was a cable is this all that operates the lock? Thanks
