Mobile Auto Locksmith recommendation - South Bucks ?

Hello,

I have recently bought a 1989 Escort Mk4 - bit of a shed - but I am doing a charity rally later in the year.

Anyway, it has now become impossible to turn the ignition key (it has been difficult since I got the car) and I am thinking that a replacement ignition barrel with a new key is what I need.

Can anyone recommend someone that could come to my house (Beaconsfield) and help me with this problem.

Cant help around your area i'm afraid, as for costs the two I used to use around Reading were about £80 for a non urgent call out then + any keys,imobiliser programming costs on top.
This sounds more like a mechanical problem,you could carefully drill the barrel out & a new barrel (on ebay) would then just slot in.

Yes - I think you are right - that will sort out the ignition, but then I will have to do something with the doorlocks - thanks for your reply.

Just have seperate keys, proper old skool, remember one of my old Capris had 4 different keys!

If not try AutoKeys think they have a 'local' agent
