S2 starting problems

Hi all,

I am having starting problems with my Elise since last Sunday. It takes several 'goes' to get the engine turning. When it finally starts it idles erratically and often the revs rest at 1500rpm. (Also the lights are turned on when the car is started - is that normal? i don't recall this happening before).

I think this might has been caused by the torrential rain we had last week when it was left uncovered as it was fine before this.

I was wondering if anyone has seen/heard of anything similar?
