stone hit one of the driving lights in the front grille and shattered the glass cover. Is the link below the correct replacement for an MY04 111R?

http://www.eliseparts.com/products.php?product=321

are they easy to fit or is it a major job pulling everything apart just to get the old one out?

thanks
antony

certainly looks ok.you might as well buy from main dealer as prics is £45-00 inc vat. part no A340m6005F.Remove grill , remove two hex bolts directly behind lamp, try to use magnetic socket or similar with extension bar or you might lose bolts. Unplug from 2 pin connector and swap bracket from your light onto new light ,brkt that comes with new light is no good, connect up ,
bolt into place. just fitted mine from new, didnt work at first, factory wired them to U.S. section of loom ,had move connector in wheelarch, fine now.
Are your lights 80 mm ovals if so this part no is correct light, buy a pair of protectors at same time its cheaper, you have to go through this procedure
just to change the bulb.

I couldn't access the bolts to remove the light complete with bracket on my MY05 111R. I removed the light from the bracket using the side bolts and then cut a few mm off the bolts to make putting them back in easier.

Hi Janine

Long time no see, how's the Lotus?

When is the Pencoed show this year, perhaps I'll bump into you if you plan going.

Cheers

Eh up John. I'm good thanks and the Lotus is well although a little bored of the not so great roads around here. I got the Pencoed show paperwork through, but I'm no longer in South Wales, I'm in the East Midlands. My quest to find some decent roads around here continues wink

Won't see you at Pencoed, but hope the weather's as good this year as it was last year! smile

Back on topic, how did you get on Aussiebeano, all sorted?

Janine - new light fitted and with covers this time.

Fitted new discs too and off for a drive to break them in later. Front left was a real bear to get off and ended up unable to remove the single grub screw that holds the disc to the hub. Tried drilling out but still struggled and even broke a high tensile removzal bit which then got stuck in the screw hole. Disc is on without the grub and I'll have to remove the hub and drill and retap ir properly. Nightmare...
