Very true - it's amazing how other cars you own / owned pale into insignificance once you're 'hooked' on the Rangie

Thanks for that - great article. Sums up exactly how I feel about my Rangie, although don't know what he means about dickie throttle response.

Do they satisfy the speed side of things though?

I went from owning two fast cars (997 and XKR) to the Rangie and clearly they are very different cars. So different, that I've never once thought "I wish this car was faster". Truth is, the V8 diesel in the Rangie is very torquey and quite fast enough for such a big car, and most of the time you just enjoy the wafting, comfortable ride and view.

wow what a good review, and soo true!!

I really do think this RR will the best for a long time, especially the TDV8.

I'm not just saying this because Clarkson has, but I since the L322 was launched, I could think of no other car that fullfils just about anything - At that point I would have said V8 petrol, but now the TDV8 is more than adequate, and surprisingly economical for the size - Its more economical than an Auto TDV6 Discovery.

Stonking vehicle, I bought mine after having had a 4.4 petrol and noticed no drop in performance. Indeed, I even prefer the way the torque is delivered in the TDV8.
