Hello to Everyone,
I have been an outsider looking in onto this forum since September '08. I really wanted to get a view of the good and bad points of the Monaros by silently perusing the forum. I know absolutely bugger all about cars so had to research as thoroughly as I could and this seemed to be the most knowledgeable place to visit. Having owned a 99 GSI vectra which was an absolute dog, constantly breaking, I decided to get rid of it and begin searching for something with brass balls! I went to a classic car show in Duxford in 2006 and saw my first VXR Monaro. What a car! I had to save hard and last October I got one. Silver vxr with 52000 for 12995. A steal really considering the performance and character. What a noise. Foot down under any bridge. Awesome! Anyway, one of the forum members, J.J spotted me parked up in Bury st. Edmunds ( I haven't seen another since buying it) so I thought it was time to announce another blissfully happy 'ro owner, if you'll have me.

To Sneakygloworm
You missed mine - I drove past just before you parked up and went into the nearby car park, walked back and saw the nose of your car!
Welcome, and hope you love the car.

Here we go.... See if this works....

The Holden Bonnet logo is now gone, but this was the ad picture of the car when I bought it. Photo's just don't do these cars justice. Awesome machines really. Thanks for the welcome everyone look forward to chatting and maybe meeting some of you one day.

ps can anyone tell what exhaust i have. I can't find anything printed on it. Sounds good though.

Welcome! Looks like an aftermarket exhaust you got there too... explains the noise!

Its not a Wortec, they have elliptical ends, whereas yours has in effect, rectangular end with rounded corners,if you know what I mean.....Thats why I thought it might have been a Miltec, although I've never actually looked at one
