Anyone organised a treasure hunt before?

I went on an excellent one organised by the Newbury Mazda dealer for the MX5 OC. Years ago now, 2002?.
They held it on British Grand Prix day. Arrive early, 10 min talk about new mazda 6. 50 cars off at 1 minute intervals. Various different prizes. We won the scavenger hunt as I got an ironing board in my Mk1. Finished with a barbeque outside and watching the race on several big screens.
A really good day out.
Questions required observation (to spot an unusual sign) or thought i.e dechipering where to look for the next clue when arriving at the next location. i.e under the slide in a kiddies playground rather than anywhere else.
I only went to one but it was a regular thing so other MX5 owners may well be able to help
