Transferring save files from PS3 to another PS3

Hi,

Has anyone transferred save files between PS3's? Is it easy to do?

I've just bought a 80GB PS3, and want to transfer my save files from the old one to the new one. Saves me having to complete RSV2,COD4 and 5, Killzone 2 etc again/losing my online rankings.
Can I use a USB flash drive to transfer the files?
Can you log into a new PS3 using your old ID?, or is it tied to the unique PS3?

Sorry for all the questions, google reveals conflicting info.

Yeah just go to the games section on your old PS3, go up to save files and then press triangle, select copy and copy it over to a USB flash drive. Then simply do the reverse on your new PS3.
