Hi folks,

While the cars still waiting for it's MOT, I thought I may fit some race harnesses. For safeties sake you understand, not posing.....cool
Does anybody have any experience with this? It's a set of 3 point harnesses. Obviously the side mounting points are simple, using the existing seatbelt mounts. The final rear point I'm not so clued up on, but I'm aware that it needs to be mounted to the chassis. Is this a matter of running some very large bolts through the parcel shelf and into the underlying cross members?

Cheers guys

I think I remember that it can be very unsafe without a proper roll bar if you fit a proper harness set. With a seatbelt, you can duck your head if you roll it, but a harness is designed to keep you in, but only really useful with either a roll cage or at the least some over top protection.

I may be wrong...but I think it'll also be really cool to get some red harnesses in, will make it feel more of a racecar...hehehe

Harnesses are very effective but I'd go for 4 point personally.
The rear mounts have to be placed at a certain height in relation to your shoulders in the seat.
As mentioned you really need a roll bar to fix them to. Unless you have a retractable head wink
