TVRCC CHALLENGE CUP 2004
Discussion
The story develops.
We have several Tasmins registered for next year.
Some will be on revised specs built to compete with the new rules against other V8 cars in 2004.
I have a couple of Griffs on my list for next year too.
If you have a V8 or fancy racing with V8s against fellow TVr nuts, now is the time to start not just talking but doing something about it.
C'mon...
Better to say you gave it a try than...
Say you 'WERE' going to give it a try!

Steve,
When do you plan for round one? Still haven't sorted the Taz V8 body route yet so may incept after race one.
Chassis is done though Cage as shown plus Moore Racing suspension
(don't know why there's an oil bucket there as the engines not in
I plan to be there, naturally depending on the regs. when will these be available?

Already started conversion to Cosworth power Steve. I can not wait for next season as Tasmin number 60 will be a flying machine.
Sounds excellent Richard, cant wait to see it.
If you think thats good call in and have a look at the batch of 600hp Tuscans we have on the go
Gimme a break
Regs are being worked on.
However as I have been telling everyone who calls, the concept remains:
The series will be open to any TVR which has been produced officially by the factory.
Tyres will all be KUMHO Ecsta
All cars will wear a specified datalogger at all times.
The power output will be published and class/handicap worked out from this information.
Engines will all be sealed once the power output is confirmed.
No newer engines can be installed in old cars
(No AJP in your Tasmin then!!)
Brakes will be free within certain size and material specifics. i.e. to avoid carbon fibre and 18inch disks!!
More powerful engines can be de-tuned (restricted) to bring them within a lower bower band class.
The aim is to fill a grid with a miscellany of TVRS.
To have close multi model racing within each power band class.
More specific detail will follow after the Dec 5th deadline when people should let me know of there interest.
There is still too much talk and not enough commitment.
- Richard T is prepping a car.
- We have a handfull of standard Tasmins playing again.
- 3 Griffs and a 3000m
Tell me if inyone else will commit and it will create more impetus with the regs!
best regs (sorry for pun)
Steve

Things are moving ahead.
Cars in prep for next year.
Some Tasmins are taking a 2.9 route to play with the V8s!
Re, cossie 2.9 into a tasmin .
so far the general consensus is they bolt in and only require a spigot bearing, you can use the same gearbag if you want and the loom is straight forward , there is an article on mike's website if anyone is interested.
So far we at Moore Racing have had two confirmed orders (and have started )to upgrade tasmin's for next season, Due to the fact Noel reads the email list we cannot say what they are but they may require a dump valve (and no Pete it is not something fitted in their pants) .
