Well its my fire damage spare that I'm slowly messing with.

crankshaft has 'SRS AD1 - 81298 - E1815' on it

And conrods have 'TVR - E1546', except for one that has 'TVR - E1546-MCD'

Anyone know what they numbers mean, and why the odd conrod?

It just struck me as odd there was any difference.

I'll weight them and check at the weekend.

Are the part numbers for standard cast parts?

Anyone made their own crankshaft balancer? smile ................No, seriously smile.

I think you should try it, and when i see a Cerbera going down the road, looking like its out of focus, i can guess who it is! hehe

Hello Julian

I might need a favour from you, got a leak in the slave cylinder I think and need to take it out to check only thing is it would mean the car would be on your lift for a couple of days would that be okay probably in a couple of weeks.

Yep, lift is available, the only problem is that the workshop isn't as I now have just about every square inch of floor and tabletop space strewn with my exploded engine, and if anything moves I'm gonna be hard pressed to remember where anything came from smile

No problem I can just shut the door on the workshop, and the garage part is yours.

A true flat plane crank.

Spoke to Dom at Power, Doesn't sound convinced by going the 4.7 route. Was kind of talking me round to staying stock 4.5.

Not much meat between those cylinders to make them much thinner!!

I thought I read somewhere about motorbike technology being used to increase capacity, no idea what that means though, but if you want to go to 4.7, perhaps worth looking into?
