But, maybe cinnamon aside, it does sound nice. And we are still near enough in Winter to cook it.

I do a moroccan pork dish that's broadly similar (different spices, no red wine). This one looks worth a punt.

Got this cooking in my slow cooker overnight, because I'm doing a night shift. Couldn't get hold of any cinnamon, and by the smell of it I may have put slightly too much allspice in.

Hope it turns out ok....

Slow cooked for 18hrs, turned out absolutely stunning, beef was literally 'melt in the mouth', onions were lovely and soft and sweet, definately a massive thumbs up from me.
