Shipping to the US
Discussion
A question for our American friends.
I need to ship the Ultima to the US, as I have found a buyer in California. It will be shipped as a rolling chassis, as if it has the engine and gearbox installed, it bacomes a car, and that complicates importation.
Can any of you suggest a shipping company that would be able to handle it?
Before you suggest it, I already called Ultima to see if they could help, but to say that they were unhelpful would be an understatement. They wouldn't even tell me who they use to ship to the US, let alone help me. I even said that I would pay them to ship it for me, but they weren't interested.
Cheers
James

Congratulations on selling your car! I hope there's another Ultima waiting in the wings for you. I had my kit shipped via KLM Airways here to Chicago's O'hare Airport. I met the plane, spent a couple of hours doing paperwork and waiting in line at Customs.....and away I went. Quite painless. I can look through my records if you need any further contact information. I would think a good internet search for "auto shipping" might be your best bet. Just don't try to drive it over! Good Luck James!
