Range Rover - 4.4l vogue or 4.2l supercharged?

I have a Grand Cherokee powered by lpg (cc excempt in London) but looking to get a second hand RR - proper big one, not the Spurt.
Is there a big difference in performance in 4.4 and 4.2 super or is that silly question?
Can both be converted to lpg?
Is there a big difference in the bells and whistles available as standard / extra in both?
Going to Stratstones in Berkeley Street London tomorrow to drive both - anything I should look out for / ask?

Is there a big difference in performance in 4.4 and 4.2 super or is that silly question? Having owned both, I would say there is a massive difference, with my 4.4 it often lived in sport mode, there is no need to do that with the s/c. For a 2.5 ton brick it can shift.

I have a 4.2 S/C recently converted to LPG. The engine management set-up process is complex which IMHO must be completed by a RR expert not some back street LPG converter. By all means PM me for more detail if you are serious about buying/converting a 4.2 S/C to LPG.PhilCerbera said:

I'm doing 25k-30k pa in a LPG converted Supercharged. 13k miles since Nov last year and nothing wrong yet (touches wood etc.). But I did spend £1500 last week on a service, 4 tyres and full suspension cailibration, and the insurance is due this week.....so not exactly cheap to run. But I still have the £1400 or so that LR wanted for an extended warranty in the bank for expenses. Why would anyone want to drive in London anyway Transport is good and there is nowhere to park even if you do drive.
I lived in Lambeth for 2 years and probably paid the CC about 4 times the whole time I lived there.
The Jeep is a pile of junk so to save myself £32 over 2 years I am not sure it is worth considering.

I am realistic about the prospect of driving in London.
not all of us are so privileged as to be given a free place to park our car in London. When was the last time you tried to park in the West End or Square Mile without using your provided space?
I have not driven a Jeep but I have a friend who has owned one and have ridden in it. Granted it was one of the older ones (perhaps they have improved?).
However, I am sure most will agree the Range Rover is a far more refined vehicle.
Thanks for your kind wishes as to my location, I sense a hint of superiority over us "little people" living in the Ghetto. I know how much you like to look down on us from your lofty height. Suffice to say I have now moved to Northwood which is far more civilised and I still have no need to pay the CC, the tube and bus are quite adequate for my journey to Westminster and back.
