F1 Optional 30mil Budget Cap

The proposed budget cap is fascinating.

The additional technical freedom required to level the playing field would be minimal, I imagine (e.g. force india isn't THAT far off the pace)

There'll be no point in spending more than 30 million, if regs will always be tweaked to ensure you're not the fastest.

Therefore teams will effectively have no choice but to sign up for it, making much of the larger organisations superfluous (bye bye mclaren and ferrari as we know them)

I can't see this going through without a fight!

LOL, it is OPTIONAL

I.e., if teams feel that it is impossible to go racing for 30mil per year, then they won't sign up.

If nothing else it makes F1 a viable business venture for the likes of prodrive.
