07 BMW 3 series
Discussion
Hi guys,
I have got 07 3 series with bluetooth.
The problem is the car does not seem to be sending out a signal for phones to find via blue tooth, The manual says to refer to a specific manual that i dont have.
I have checked youtube which shows a way of connection within 2 mins of the engine starting but this also does not work either! It may be down to the one shown being an earlier model.
Any ideas or procedures i need to follow.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Paul

Could be your phone is not set-up right?
You need to activate bluetooth, of course, and make your phone discoverable. I also have a "secure mode" on my phone's bluetooth menu. I have this set to OFF.
Was able to bluetooth pair with my 07-reg 330d no problem.
My phone is a Samsung E900.
One thing though. After about a week, the phone and car fell out and would not speak to each other. I had to get the phone to remove the BMW entry from its list of bluetooth devices, same on the iDrive. Then pair them back up again from scratch. First attempt didn't work - phone would not connect. Just seemed to hang whist trying. Second attempt after again clearing both sides worked a treat. For now!
Good luck.
