Did a search but to no avail...

My house insurance has come round for renewal and I currently specify a couple of Breitlings plus engagement ring as individual items. It got me wondering whether or not it's a good idea to have a separate specialist policy just for the valuables.

The watches aren't hugely valuable and even the engagement ring is probably worth no more than £4.5k.

Would anyone advise going for a specialist insurer or would you just add them to the home and contents insurance?

Many thanks

you need a high/mid net worth policy that provides greater cover for valuables without any warrenties.

speak to hiscox, chubb, sterling and Zurich private clients.

Aon are also worth mentioning for HNW specialist insurance.

Mine are covered under the general household policy with each item named individually. Worked in my favour last year when i got paid out £1200 on a stolen Speedmaster. I only pay £16 a month too. There is a £5k individual item limit though.
