There is a DC57 & 2 DC66's available via Damsko's german website. They apparently have some minor imperfections that cannot be seen with the naked eye, but I don't speak (or read) german, so can't be more specific.

the click on “Angebote”

Mine's a pint by the way wink

I was offered a dc66 last week but declined, I was told at the time that there were some very small speckles on the coating of the bezel insert which are only visible with a lupe. No idea whether the same applies to the 57 (the website doesn't say it has any faults)

basic translation says

Product description: Clocks have a minimum defect of the coating (Pünktchen) at the turning ring insert, which is not recognizable with the naked eye. Otherwise the clocks are completely new and perfect.

I thought my post above clarified it?
I should add that the watch I was offered was one of the two now up on the site so I'm assuming the defect hasn't changed in the last week

What the DC57? - Don't think so - I bought mine in the summer & it was about £1,150 then.

Its 1250 euros mate which today is about £1150 and 8 months ago when the euro was trading at 1.55 rather than 1.08 it would have exchanged into about £800.

Sorry Mr Noble but on this subject you're spouting BS

1) During August 08 the Interbank (somewhat better than Joe Public could get)was an average of 1.26 (high of 1.28, low of 1.23) so if you could get Euro's at 1.55 you'd have cleaned up.

2) I actually bought a DC 56 brand new in July of last year & it actually cost me £1,100 (not the £1,150 I guessed at previously).

Of course the pound has slumped against the Euro - most of us are well aware of that, but if you want a Damasko this is / was a very rare opportunity to get one of the rarest models and even with the exchange rate these are still cheap watches at those prices.

the DA36 reminds me a whole lot of a Sinn watch which I was lucky enough to grab one of.....love the watch and the simplicity of it (and it matches my Caterham's dials)

Damasko used to supply those cases to Sinn. Guess Sinn got pissed of with the slow rate at which Damasko actually release their product.

Cheers Andy -- that is useful information, I had wondered before in the past of the similarity of cases between Sinn and Damasko.
