Possibly not the correct place for this message, but I need to get my Chimaera from home (St.Albans) down to David Batty's (Guildford) for a service. I don't want to risk driving it as the radiator has a serious leak!
Does anyone know of a reasonably-priced haulage company I could use? I'm not sure that my rescue service (Britannia) will help, as the service is pre-planned, and so not an emergency.

I booked Batty as I've not had the car long and he seemed to have the best reputation. - Very helpful and professional on the phone too.
I actually just dicovered Offords do a free collection service (not sure whether their reputation is as good as David Batty's though). Never mind. Closest really is TVR Centre Barnet though, but they're a bit pricey, being a main dealer.
Reckon I might call my standard rescuer on Friday to tell them it's broken down, then say I've booked it into a specialist place and see if they'll take me there... can't hurt to ask.

Actually I'm not 100% certain it's the rad. It was pressure-tested a couple of weeks ago at ****** but they said it was fine, and just bled some air out. It overheated and needed a big top up just a few days later, and then got worse, until it just wasn't holding the coolant as I poured it in!
It's due for a service, and there's a few other bits required, so two birds with one stone and all that. And yes, I am that crap with a spanner!
I would mail you zebede, but your profile doesn't give your address! Please can you mail me with a price.
Thanks all.

Just phone your breakdown service provider and say your radiator has sprung a leak (drive a mile from home) tell them your normal service garage is David Batty and that is where you want it taken, should'nt be a problem, anyway that's what I would do.
Why pay for a trailer etc when it could be done for free, you don't need to tell them its booked in for a service

Sorry to drag this one up from the bottom of the stack, but thought I should write to thank you all for your suggestions and offers. Also, apart from personal offers of help, there were a couple of businesses mentioned, one of which was

This was from work though, not from home.
