Used to work for Siebe plc in Windsor for 10 years. Was really surprised to see so many muscle car guys in the UK! Made many life long friends in the UK and stay in touch regularly.
I have a Holden Monaro (here they are Pontiac GTO's) I have modified it about as far as I can go and still legally drive it on the streets. We are putting down over 600 Horsepower to the rear wheels and 630 Ft. Lbs. of Torque. She now weighs 500lbs less than when I drove her home the first day. Please allow a couple of pictures....anyway just wanted to join and say hello. Love to share any and all information with other fellow Holden owners.

Hello and welcome, list up the mods then as there are a few by the look of it. PS: why do americans prefer small dia wheels, most people here wouldnt dream of running round on 17" rims...? and your roads are far better than the dirt ditches we pay to commute on!

Hmm another mafless tuned stroker running a 10 second quarter smile

Some sad guys here will tell you that you will go too slow mate because you havnt got forced induction.

Some of us know better though! Sometimes NA is enough.

What size engine? 408 cubes?

Charlie

She weighed 4000lbs new from Pontiac. over 200lbs was worthless bracing they add to pass US
safety requirements. Steel in the sides/front/back to withstand 45mph hits. The rest were fiberglass hood (bonnets as you say ) fenders, stripped all the spare tires/jacks, trailer hitch bracing removed, skid plate was replaced with aluminum skid plate, exhaust manifold replaced with lightweight stainless headers, lightweight exhaust back, lighter wheels on and on but I think you guys get the picture. She is much stiffer and stronger than before but weighs less than a Ford Mustang.

Yes a 408 Stroker motor. I eat turbo's and superchargers for breakfast.
Seriously most the FI guys do not spend the effort to put the power to the ground and I just walk away from them. There (as you know) is much more than just horsepower.....chassis geometry plays a key role in quickness. These NA Stroker motors are just torque monsters. She is very quick/fast.

Welcome to the club Mate. I'm surprised all the stick shifters on here haven't flamed you for having the "right" transmission yet. My Circle D 4C stall is on its way over here as we write. I too, am just embarking on the NA stroker route with my LS2. The top end stuff is with me already including some nice AFR 225 62cc big bore heads, FAST 90, Bottom end will be a 402 callies/wiseco.

Why did you go for an iron block, if as you have said you were on a weight saving trip? What CR did you end up with and finally did you need a spray to get the 10.88? I assume you were on drag radials.

And he's got man-sized louvres in his bonnet/hood!

Welcome, nice to see something a bit different for a change.

Probably a stupid question but wouldn't it help to have 17 inch rims. I mean you could allow more air out of the tyres therefore getting better gripsilly Go easy on mepaperbag

Excellent but could you get a 10 second 1/4 down or would traction be a big problem

You doubt traction will be a problem or you doubt you'll do a 10 second 1/4?
