After years of yearning & now with all appropriate spaces filled in the garage, it is time for the Diablo itch to be well & truly scritched. (was always to be the final addition)

Thing is, I'm living in foreighn climes now so will be after a LHD, does anyone know of any specialist places to look that might have one? not happy about buying privately really, unless there is a good mobile pre purchase inspection available that someone could recommend?

At a push I'd go RHD but prefer not to.

Cheers!

excited school boy biggrin

want to buy in the UK really as any testing etc I'd want to handle in my own language, all be it Germans are very good with English, hpi checks and recomendations for specialists etc is going to be quite important for me & best played in UK.

I have already found a warranty company that will cover any potential car & also has euro cover for repairs, which is cool

I think our paths crossed once on the Paris tunnel run, did you used to run a classic Esprit? think I filmed you for a bit along with Donnymac (think thats his login)

Thanks anyway smile

En France? What the devil are you doing there? They eat slugs and don't wash from what I've heard.
Bout time the place was invaded again isn't it? Come back and throw insults, it's safe from this side of the channel.

life is sooooo much better here (pour moi, pas tous) living in colour is much nicer coolbiggrin

i) never thought Sluggs could taste so good (amazing what Garlic can do)
ii) you need money to invade so we're safe from UK
ii) much closer & easier to throw insults from here wink

please dont suggest coming back to the UK, just the very thought makes me frown can we not mention it again? please biggrin

I'm still holding the spare rooms open to the possibility of a tunnel run pass at some point, for PHers to stay at, gone a bit quiet though.....

And the rest:

Looking at autoscout.fr there are around 50 available (tick the all europe search box).

BUT you are looking at > 100k euro for a late one.
What's the exchange rate again???

Sounds a magic idea, I'm sure the other TRs would be keen. Love that Tango ad by the way. As for the UK, only joking, intend to make my escape soon to NZ.

On a left hooker an HPi will only be of any use from after the date that it was imported to the UK.

Unless the original country of registration has similar services?

I think you will be luckly to find a LHD Diablo in this country at the moment.

Given the strength of the Euro most people will be selling LHD into Europe.

Also you will restrict yourself quite highly by buying in this country in terms of choice of cars.

Dont go in there much now as being so far away makes it painfull smile trying to rally people up to enjoy tunnels here is not working, they have had long tunnels for too long biggrin they just dont appreciate them biggrin

will keep an eye out for movements in this area & put ourselves forward as a watering hole if the occasion arises beer

I take it from your comment she is everything you were hoping for smile

Late as in open headlight / Audi influence, the last real Lambo (waits for flaming) for me, with a little injection of Audi reliability, am i wrong in this thinking? prefer the open headlight look anyway, so would still go this route.

Not impatient with this purchase so will wait, from my experience something right always comes along at the right price if your willing to be patient, allot said I'd never get a Grale in A1 condition for the money I was willing to spend, found two as it happened & have found many cars over the years this way, I have all the time in the world to trawl & travel TBO so I am lucky I can move quickly when the time is right.

For me half the fun is looking, dont you guys find the same?

She's fine Nick biggrin

Actually just had shiney new nose job and having engine out service as I type, then full paint correction detail in a couple of weeks.

Looking to follow in your footsteps again soon, just as soon as we buy a house with a wider garage door.

No, not at all ... if someone were to plonk the perfect car down in front of me at a fair price that would save a lot of time, worry and hassle!

Doesn't often work that way though does it? smile
