Also I think Steve recommends the Haynes ones, I have the XR4i 4x4 one for those bits marked "proF"

Go to your local second hand book shop, and get the Haynes manuals for Sierra 2.9, Granada 2.9 etc. These will cover the majority of the engine,transmission, brakes, etc. Armed with these, and the bible, you should be able to fix most things

I have got a lot of my Haynes books from the Charity shops for 50p or a £1. EBAY often has them as well.
