Sorry to repost this again, however I thought this would be a more suitable forum than the generic M Power one:

I finally booked my car in for a detail with Kelly at KDS. I researched detailing world, pistonheads and every other forum I could for detailers in the South East, and none of them gave me more confidence in their ability than Kelly.

I chose to leave the car with him after his huge posts on PH as well as the amount of detail on his website. He had my car for 2 weeks, during which he also sorted out a dent, resprayed the whole front bumper and also fixed a slightly deformed rear bumper which I failed to spot when purchasing the car (BMW® Oxford knew it was there and had hoped the buyer wouldn't notice it seems...). I had other quotes for the bumper but Kelly was the cheapest and knew what he was talking about on the phone. In fact, BMW® Taplow recommended that I get into an "accident" then claim on the insurance as the only way they could repair it would be to replace it (around £1000 all in was the quote)

2 weeks, a 170 mile round trip and this was the result!

And a video which is provided by Kelly with every cary detailed

Top work as always from Kelly, one of the companies that always go that extra mile.

Have to say thats a page 3 stunna.

I always though Silver Grey must be a "difficult" colour to get that level of finish compared to say a black or a blue. IYSWIM.
Do you use different wax or polish products for different colour cars.

And what was used to get the tail pipes as new ?

Kelly is a bit of a god. wink

He can fix cars, wet sand them and then doesn't even whack a proper sized bill in. I just wish I lived closer to Kent so he could help me out more often...

At a guess, 0000 steel wool, and Autosol chrome polish.

The use of certain products on certain colour of paint is a heavily debated subject - some say there's nothing in it, others say darker colours only benefit from a glaze before waxing, producing a deeper hue/wetter look.
Sealants by and large tend to be fairly neutral, but again I've see a slight difference with Auto-balm, and others talk about Zaino making the flake/pearl 'pop' more.
It's all very subjective, and no one size fits all in this instance.
