The sun has been shining all week and so the trails are going to be running nice and fast again.

So, who's riding where? Anything interesting happening? I though about a short trek through the Surrey Hills or maybe, a quick blast around Swinley.

I've been out riding all week. A bonus of being self-employed and having feck all work right now (takes my mind away from the bills).

This weekend however I'll be spending digging on my local canal, with a load of other similarly minded blokes.

I am going to start my training for the mega on the local Taunus Hill/Mountains on Sunday. Snow should be gone and I am dying to get out on my bike.

I'm planning a Sunday afternoon at Craig yr Aber/Margam. I will of course be nursing a bad head after watching Wales get the triple crown though.

Was out last night with Pete, good lap of Ashton court round Brissle. Trails were dry and fast - didnt even have to wash the bike....

Which after the last few months is no small mercy let me tell you.

Was over in Chamonix last weekend (not on the bike mind) so combination of poorness and a little pug that just failed its MOT on 8 points and is running on 3 cylinders means that this weekend i shall mostly be riding the local trails of Brissle

Planning a 5.30 ride after work tomorrow

smile

Mega training starts here.

Whinlatter was dryish last weekend, was good fun too despite only half of the south loop being open.

Not sure where this weekends action is taking place. Most likely Kielder, Newcastleton, Whinlatter or Glentress.

Gonna try to get to Cannock on my Socom if I get it in time. Failing which will try for a local ride up at Rivington but it's not ideal due to the huuuge number of walkers.

Saturday - fitting the Elixir CR callipers to the rear of the Stiffee and the Hustler. Also finishing building up the set of Sevens that sold on e-Gay.

Sunday - riding the Stiffee out over the North Downs. Need to have a gentle one as I pulled an intercostal muscle during my commute on Wednesday. Need to make sure it's all healed.

Depending on whether the bike rack arrives in time, on Sun either Brechfa or around
Llys-Y-Frân, or locally around the estuaries / woods if no rack.

...and it also depends on the aftermath of the rugby result too, like Ratbane biggrin

Get down to Brecfa! Even if it means stuffing the bike in the boot.

Have you done it before?

Yeah. Tidied up the bridge at the top of the locks today, and the other chaps pulled tree stumps out of the lock gates, and tidied up the towpath back down to the Creams building.
