I thought the last couple of seasons have been great. Its easy to get carried away with the SuperT 2000s, however it was an awful lot of money for family saloons.
The Prodrive Fords cost something silly like £20 millon to run and develope? Crazy, and would have folded a long time BEFORE the credit crunch.
(Although I wont forget watching the Mondeos flying past the back straight at Croft!)
Hopefully Matt Jackson enters this year, and can be competitive.

21 cars isn't exactly a disaster in the current climate.
Hopefully people will start watching it as it is and get to know the new drivers this year rather than whinge about it not being as good as it used to be, then watching the F1 and whingeing about it being boring and the cars being ugly, then watching Top Gear and whinge about it being too silly, then watch 5th Gear and whinge about it being dull.

Geez. Don't some of you guys read the newspapers and know how really bad the economy is?
So 21 cars is bloody good. its only a couple down on last year.
I reckon series like British GT's and F3 are going to show really big drops in their entries. Rumour has it that British GT's will only have about 12 cars!

If they hadn't have killed off the supertourers there would have been no BTCC at all. The cost of running a car had become hugely expensive, all the manufacturers were pulling out and very few privateers could afford to run them.Its not a bad entry list considering the world we live in.
Pinkney will not be a mobile chicane and never has been.
Jackson needs some £££ otherwise we wont see him, which is a crying shame.
Should be a good season.
We will never see the days of all manufacturer grids like we did in the 90s back. It simply wont happen. Supertourers were amazing yes, but also hugely costly.
