Err not quite, but I get your drift. For the youngsters on here - don't quote Toady on that definition - you'll get slaughtered by someone who knows the exact equation which is I beieve that Torque = bhp @ 5250 revs.

e.g. 2,000 revs x 150 lbs ft does NOT = 300,000 bhp not in my car at least!!!

Dyno's only record Torque at varied RPM so that is an actual figure, and the BHP is derived by calculation from there.
