I've recently bought a mint '97 20K mile boxter :0)
privately and had a couple of minor problems.

Now the hood mechanism is playing up (or rather it wouldn't come up - until I opened the boot!)

Can anyone tell me how to go about fixing it or let me know of someone in South Wales that can.

Merlin Cambria have been great to date but I don't want to take it to them for this if I don't have to cos at £80 an hour I'd rather spend the cash on petrol!

Any ideas?

Thanks

My 911 Turbo is currently at PorschTech in Bristol. They are involved in racing Porsches and are a dealers as well as servicing specialists. I have been very impressed with the dealings we have had so far but have yet to view the finished work. I chose to take the car there after a very good recommendation from another 911 Turbo owner.

What about Welsh Porsche?

I don't know much about them but my ex's father used to trust them with his Ferrari so they must be doing something right.

Seconded, when I was interested in 964's I went down there. They are real enthusiasts who seem very knowledgeable, helpful & are willing to take time with you.

They'll be horrendous pricewise - All of the Merlin staff, i.e. OPC, and all that glass and stainless steel to pay for.

Thanks for the advice!
If anyone else turns anything up I would be really chuffed to hear.
I will also post how I get on and what it costs!
A mate has had this happen to his boxter and ended up with a £25 parts bill and 6 hours labour (gulp)

I always thought Welsh Porsche was in Pyle, but then again perhaps that was years ago! That info could be useful in the future.

www.yell.co.uk also turned this up for me:

RS Porsche
Railway Terrace
Penarth South Glamorgan
CF64 2TT
Tel: 029 2070 6944
