Tyre pressure :: 3.4bar?
Discussion
Had my 330Ci Sport (E46) a week now and seriously loving it. As I filled up this morning I checked the tyre pressures which seemed rather low to me at 1.5 bar at the front and 1.7 at the rear. Checked the label inside the door which states 2.4 front and 3.4 rear. Seems pretty high to me but that's what it says so that's what I've done - feels altogether more taught but only had a mile or so from the garage to the office so can't be sure yet.
Does 3.4 bar (c. 49psi) seem high to anyone else or would you be happy with that? The max pressure stated on the tyre is 51psi.
F: 225/40ZR18, R: 255/35ZR18 - Dunlop Sport 9000.

What I did was assume the circle & triangle symbols relate to the different size tyres so the fronts being triangle = 2.4 and rears circle = 3.4 - I now realise it should be the upper row 2.4 & 2.9 - but what the heck are the symbols all about?

Oh thanks for that. I've been running my wife's E46 330i Sport Touring on 3.4 bar for years as I too read that the 18's were 3.4 bar. D'Oh!
Edit: It's running the 255/35 ZR 18 tyre as it's got the M-sport wheels, suspension and other M-doodahs.
Edit2: OMG I have turned into my dad. I just typed "doodah". Shoot me. Immediately.
