Central Locking S1
Discussion
I'm old enough to remember the times when central locking was the exception rather than the rule, so its just back to basics for me.
Old as I am I can just about manage the short walk to the passenger side to lock the door.
Anyway the clocks change soon so you will be able to see where the locks are!
But in answer to the OP, I've not come across a kit for this but I'm sure someone will be along soon...
eta...just read your profile...I'm sure someone can help you, after all it's not rocket science...

Yeah, should be straightforward except for knowing how to connect to the Cobra.
I looked at the lock mechanism once, there is an unused lever inside the door that you could couple the locking motor to; the way this seems to work it would act as a deadlock and prevent the door from being opened with the inside handle when the top is down as well.
Eliseparts did do a kit, but presumably it was either too expensive or too niche as they seem to have dropped it from their website.

Bored with using the key......
Don't lock it? They could get in with an allen key or stanley knife in seconds anyway.
I've never locked mine; I'd sooner someone open the door with the button, set the alarm off and realise there's cock all inside than wreck my roof trying to find out.Don't lock it? They could get in with an allen key or stanley knife in seconds anyway.
here I am indeed.
You can it central lovking to the S1 and its quite easy!. Buy a 4 door central locking kit from Maplin for £20, comes with everything you need. I have a powerpoint slide showing a few pics and which pins to attach the wires onto on the Cobra alarm.
Its so good having done it, well worth doing. If you want you could just do the drivers side...?
One word of caution though is if you lock the car with the central locking and the battery goes flat, you wont be able to get in the car, Only way is to take part of the roof off and get in that way. The door locks are designed in a way that disables the actual button on the outside of the door (the bit you press) so even with the key, it wont do anything. If I know I am going to leave the car for a few weeks they I just use the normal locks. The imobiliser will arm itself in 30 seconds so you dont need to press the key fob......
If you want the details etc, email me and I'll send them over. I'll include my number if you need to talk it through...
