poly bushes - confused
Discussion
Starting to reassemble the suspension but got stuck reassembling the rear suspension last night.
I've got the full kits from Joolz and for the rear I have the following types
'normal' bushes 5 each side
'short' bushes 1 each side
'long' bushes 1 each side
The short one I can figure out but the 'long' one I can't for the life of me see where it goes. This is the one where the internal bearing extends out to a metal thrust bearing.
The polybush parts look identical to the 'normal' bush and the actual assembled bush is the same length as them too so confused by the 'long' description on the box. According to the instructions the 'long' bushes fit on the lower arm front mounting but is that the chassis end of the wishbone or the carrier where the wishbone attaches.

If you have powerflex ones goto http://www.powerflex.co.uk/products/Griffith+-+Chi... and click the diagram.
From memory the top hat style ones go on the Front lower out rigger and on the back of car lower out rigger again. These point have a different mount which is a pipe through the outrigger tube.
Make sure that the tophat tube moves freely in the wishbone when the bush is fitted, I had to get some replacements tophat's as they were such a tight fit it damaged the PTFE internal bearing surface. The replacement were fractionally smaller diameter).
