Bit of advice from our AV gurus please....

I have a panasonic SC-PCT860 (From the fine chaps at www.soundandvisiononline.com) connected to skyHD via an optical cable.

When switching between standard def and high def stations the sound suffers a substantial degradation and comes over all Norman Collier, this can be fixed by switching the panasonic unit on and off but is there a more permanent solution I can effect?

Or have I damaged the optical cable???

Thanks in advance

What do you mean exactly by degredation?

What happens to the sound exactly?

Either the Sky Box is faulty or the Panasonic. My feeling is that it's the Sky box as the Panasonic is holding the Lock to the digital signal.

Its as if the sound is being delivered in a slow motion stutter..

best description I can think of.
