Passenger Mirror Door Button

Over the last few days the passenger door has struggled to open when using the button under the mirror.
Now it wont open at all, so i'm thinking there is possibly a loose connection on the switch.
Is it easy to take the button out from under the mirror or should i be looking elsewhere first?

In the last few minutes I've finally finished fixing my mirror that got damaged after hitting a pheasant - Tuscans look so much better with 2 mirrors! In the process have taken apart and rebuilt the whole mirror including the door switch and it all works again! I now have an intimate knowledge of the subject 
The door switch is strange indeed as I could'nt find a way of removing it without pulling both wires out of the 6 pin connector located inside the door panel - there's no way of removing these wires from the switch end unless I'm mistaken. So you'll need to remove the door panel - simple job requiring you to undo 3 allen key bolts in the door pocket. 1 is a bit of a bugger to get to and took me a while.
Having done that you can unplug the large 6 pin connector and see if it needs a clean, mine had signs of water ingress. Anyway hopefully that'll fix the problem. If not and you decide to replace the switch you'll need to work the 2 door switch pins out of the connector which is a right pain in the a
e. After I'd managed this I tidied up the connector before refitting them.
If I can manage it I'm sure anyone can

Found out the problem at the weekend.
Took the door panel off, no problems there everything connected fine.
So back to the button on the wingmirror. To get to it you need to carefully remove the glass from the wingmirror housing. You are then exposed to the button connectors and other electric bits.
On close inspection I found one of the connectors on the button had corroded. So purchased a new button from CT and will fit this weekend.

Only trouble I have now is the same side (Passenger) sensor is not working under the chrome plate that is used to raise the window on closure of the door. Ive adjusted the metal bit but still no joy, will i be best replacing it?
