Audi S4 4.2 V8

Hi guys,

In the process of sourcing an Audi 4.2 V8 from an S6 / S8.
Firstly does anyone have any contacts for new, if so any idea of cost?

Secondly i have potentially sourced a used one, however i need it re conditioning to new for SVA approval.
Does anyone know what this would cost or inded anyone local to the west midlands that could do the job.

Why would it need to be new for the SVA ?

Remember you will need to retain all the emissions equipment that comes with the engine to pass s(i)va

It will need to be new or re-manufactured to as new condition if you want a new registration. I think this is destined for an Ultima so without a donor vehicle the alternatives are new reg or Q.

Hi Guys, Yep its destined for My Ultima GTR, im of the understanding that i can have one part that is used, but as you say remanufactured to as new condition.

Problem is im struggling to source the correct engine, then i need to source a company that can recondition / rebuild it to as new standard.

Any advice would be appreciated.

not an S8 but an A8 4.2 300bhp one in a working car for 1250 sound good enough?

Give me a shout and I'll send you the details. Its for sale on a A8 forum I go on and is in London. car is MOT'd etc.

I need an S8 engine with BBK engine code.

Whilst were on the subject im also after a 2.5 TDI V6 Gearbox/Transaxle - OA2 Type im told no older than an 07 model.

look on ebay for a guy trading as A8parts.co.uk

if anyone has one he will as he breaks pretty much all teh A/S8s being broken.
