The analog and digital speedo readings don't tally and are about 8-10 mph out. Any ideas why or how to rectify?

Mine too. I have a GPS speedo and analogue is about 10% too high perhaps even a bit more. Would love to find how to correct this. I also see a 2-3mph offset at rest.

Guess its just a simple pulse counter and stepper motor driver, so its beyond me how it can be wrong...should be all digital ;-)

Yep, mine is out by a bit on the analog and digital, and about 10% compared to a GPS. The faster you go the worse it gets. I find at 60mph on the speedo, real speed is about 52-55mph.
