With the next person who nails themselves to my arse while i'm out in the Wedge!
Yet again, yet AGAIN!! A TW*T decided a Rizla was sufficient distance.
I had to drop my car off to the TVR centre/Barnet for it's MOT but i decided to have a little drive out 1st, i also took my daughter who hadn't been out in the SEAC before.
Anyway i drove out to Hitchin and headed south on this fantastic bendy road which brings you out on the A1M nr Hatfield. The last bit of road before picking up the A1 is 30mph..houses & stuff, when i saw this
in a black car coming..lazers/Hids burning into my mirrors. He then sat glued to my arse!
I can only tolerate this for so long before my red mist comes down! As soon as was space i slowed right down and gesiculated this d*ck to pass me, as he did i gave him a right gobful..which i feel bad about as my 11 year old daughter was with me. Once he passed, he floored it and with the red mist still burning i dropped a cog and chased him down...i thought i'm going to show him how it feels..moronic t
t!
I was aware of my daughter saying "dad.. DAD" to which i suddenly realised what i was doing was just as t
ttish...especially as i had her with me.
What is wrong with people?? I don't sit glued to peoples bums, so why do so many others think this ok!!
Sorry for rant.. i'm getting this nearly everytime i go out, and it seems to happen worse in the seac than any other TVR i have owned.

Naughty for doing that with your daughter in your car though i do sympathise, dont get youself into any situation when you dont have to, let the idiot past and enjoy the drive with your daughter.
I remember being out in my old Chimaera and some knob in a transit van giving me the wa**er sign on the motorway, some people can't handle other peoples good fortune, best to let them jog on.

Guys i understand & agree with you. This guy riled me & got to me..and he shouldn't have. It was only 10 seconds or so and i realized what i was doing was stupid & just as bad. Let him go, NOT worth it.
It did occur at that time that if i had to emergency brake he would have ploughed straight into & probably over me!
Alot of bad driving out there, and unwelcome ego's.

Got to learn to ignore the feckers. One chap did that coming off the motorway and up the slip road pulled along side and screamed "I want to buy your car"
If they get too glued to the rear end, pull over or just ignore them. Around here you know you can loon away from them but plod is usually out in abundance. I have had a two to date scream past me when they realised I was not going to play and in a glorious fashion of daring do, overtook me. Thing is, the two occasions that I mention I think they went straight into the arms of a speed gun. Don't know if they were clocked but if I had let rip then guess I would be looking at points.

Wayne , you aren't the only one to get totally p*ssed off with 'tailgating ' , I have resorted to just pulling off the road into the nearest stop place its so bad round here , and everywhere else , everyone is jealous of ' proper sports cars ' .
Does get my goat Steve!!
(Not)nice to hear others experiencing the same thing. rev-erend said:
I'm chilled now

As a man of the cloth i'm guessing you are unaffected by these D*ckheads?

Just have to say a few extra hail marys..

I find a very useful tactic in this situation (whatever the car I'm driving, but works very well in the Tiv) is to drop 2 cogs down and let engine braking take you down a third off your speed, then floor it. After a few goes like this they generally get the idea and back off. This also works with plod, as you don't have to break the speed limit in a thirty or forty zone.
