Gave the Z4 a good clean yesterday. Time to put it away, started normally, and I always drive round the block rather than just staraight in the garage, but when I got back I immediately heard a new noise......
Lifted the bonnet for a listen and it seems to be coming from around the alternator/timing belt area and sounds like one of these http://cgi.ebay.com/Newtons-Cradle-Bala ... 7c294%3A50 (I didn't know you could still get them...) which is kind of a 'clack, clack...' if you've never heard one.
Maybe quietened a little as the car warmed, but I've not noticed it before.
It's an 04 3.0, 15k miles. Been suggested could be stcky hydraulic tappet/lifter, any ideas please?
