mod-wise two stage cooling
Discussion
Best bet is probably to get in touch with David Beer (the mod-wise man) his tel number and e-mail can be found at www.mod-wise.com
When I fitted mine, there were comprehensive instructions, David might send you a copy, this would tell you how to adjust it plus how to re-fit it properly if you ever had the need to do so (eg. if you ever had to change the radiator, etc)
If you can't get it touch with David, e-mail me through my profile and I'll scan / fax mine to you if you want.

The cooling kit was fitted when I brought the car but not sure how to adjust, fans are comming on at 70deg anyone help?
I too have the instruction sheet - email me through my profile and I can fax or email you a copy. Basically the full speed control is the one with the orange dot(which you should set up first), and the half speed one has the green dot, so you can adjust for your own preferences (the half speed one should cut in approx 5 degrees less that the cut in point of the full speed).

i put my half speed fans so that they come on at around 50 degrees, and the full spped fans kick in around 80 degress and keep the car at around 85 ...but that is central London traffic for you...
Colin - david beer fitted it at my fathers - wa sin the summer - have sent box with bits - think fitting instructions? Basically one knob control first fan cutting in other one the second - keep not of starting point and just raise both slightly and see and then do again until where you want it.

yup very sure. before I order and fitted the kit the fans would come on at around 90 plus and the gauge would read 100 plus in the hot summers that we sometimes have. didn't lose any coolant over time but decided i wanted the engine to run cooler for comfort and piece of mind, i know they are not calibrated blah blah so could actually be fine...who knows? been running with the 2 speed fans for just under a year now ..no probs with car/cooling and I can have a play with them when the ambient weather changes/track days etc...
