Is there any chance we can put a "go to" page selection box to allow the selection of thread pages from months ago, instead of having to key "next" 153 times etc.... to get there?

There is a shortcut, let me dig out the thread that tells you how- I think you have to click the dots in between the numbers or something...

Thats for pages in a thread, double click the page number.

Doesnt do it for threads in a forum which is what I think our man here is on about.

So if I understand it right, then you can change the numbers at the top in the address box

There is a trick which does this, if you go to page two of a forum you'll see the URL has "&i=20" in it (like this: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/forum.asp?h=0&a... )

If you change that 20 to another number the it will jump to the corresponding page. 40 is page 3, 60 is page 4, 200 is page 11 and so on!

I've fixed the link, but the &i=20 will appear in the URL of any forum as soon as you go to page two.

Let me know if you have any trouble!

Wont the i=n depend on your page length?

The page length doesn't make any difference in the forum, only in the threads themselves.
