No honestly guys, Dex has some good news, of which I am in possession, but ... I think he should come on here and tell all himself.

Okay okay

I went to see Chuck and his car. Chucks a great guy (definitely someone you'd be happy to buy a car off)and his car was (is) fantastic. I even suggested he should keep it as especially as he's done a lot to it (front respray, clutch, wax oil chassis, fitting a trickle thing to battery etc)in the 6 months or so that he's had it - and it's such a shame to sell with Summer (hopefully) round the corner.

Anyway, he'd made up his mind that he wanted to sell and a deal was therefore done. So I'm the (almost) owner of a 1993 Chimaera (once the cheque clears etc and I can get back there to collect.....)

Thanks again Chuck - you are indeed a top bloke. And thanks to earlier contributors (and critics !!) who chipped in to my "what are these things worth" type thread.

Perhaps I'll let you all know how I get on as an owner rather than a dreamer !!!!

Chuck's not upgrading. He bought the car and put significant time / money into making it right but in the end found that it just didn't 'do it' for him. Plus he found he wasn't using it much as he thought he might. He's into big sports motorbikes as his main passion and maybe even a TVR's a bit tame after those.

I guess it's my good fortune though as Chuck went to a lot of effort to find a nice example. My normal car's a Rover 416 auto so I don't think I'll find the TVR as tame as Chuck did !!
