Is anyone here planning on going? I am hopefully going down on the Bank Holiday Monday, leaving the Godstone Shell Petrol Station near jct6 M25 about 09.30. If anyone is local'ish and wants a little convoy down just meet me there.

About 2" on the map.

That equates to about 45 minutes.

Or 40 minutes if you can keep up ;-)

I've had days like that smile (Forgetting things - not sure about the "rubber incident" though!)

When you come off the M20 and onto the A249, you'll get to a 50mph limit with a forward-facing camera. Stick to 50 all the way up the hill because there is often a mobile camera in the lay-by half-way up.

What is this one like? I am still trying to decide what car to buy, CEC, BEC, etc and wondered if this would be a good oppurtunity to check a few makes out and get a feel for a good kit and a bad kit.

Also would there be cars for sale there? Really keen to get something in the next few weeks if possible.

Thanks
Ben

It's the first one of the year, and it's normally pretty okay (it's not as large as Stoneleigh, which is coming up in May).

It's also probably the closest one to you (assuming it's the Fareham in Hants smile, and not another one I'm unfamiliar with [I lived in Portchester for a bit]).

I'll sell you mine-

factory built, 4l Rover V8, Jaguar lsd, Ford front hubs and steering column, four point harnesses, Hi-Spec brakes, tubular chassis with a roll bar and fibre glass body, wet weather gear included. Called a TVR 400SE wink

In a similar vein, I am sure I saw a TVR being let into the kit car entrance last year and thought it would be worth going in mine this year. What do you reckon?

I do have a kit - it is not quite assembled yet...

There is a big outdoor car park and many non-kits have been seen there (best was a genuine Porsche 911 3.0 RSR in Martini Colours, DING! DONG!)

To be honest the people on the gate probobly would not know a Caterham / Lotus / TVR were not kits. Its only a few £££s to get in anyway.

The guy who owns that Porsche is a friend of a friend. He also has a Ferrari which I spotted at Detling one year parked in the kit car area amongst the replicas smile

Looks like it'll be an interesting drive tomorrow (to set up my club's stand).

No roof, and heavy rain forecast....
