OK, so the GT racing wasn't epic in the race, so not quite OT, but how good was that scrap in P1? Peugeot just seem to be jinxed against Audi. McNish was on another planet, even in the admission of Peugeot's Bourdais - he certainly was. Dindo's crucial stint to get them back into contention for the lead also key. Watched the whole thing, and just like the commentators, couldn't decide Audi had it won until the last 15 minutes (once Allan had done his work). What a start to the season, shame the rivallry won't be rekindled until Le Mans, but what a scrap that will be!
Hmm, Ferrari 1,2, but had the Farnbacher Loles car not had its problems and had the Flying Lizards not whacked the Ford GT, then they would have been in the mix. Not sure they would have caught the Risi car, but you never know. That was quite a drive from the Lizards, from effectively last on track to what should have been 3rd, but for an overly hurried move on the Panoz.
Those Porsches qualified faster than the Ferraris and I think the Lizards had the fastest lap of the race, so GT2 isn't as clear cut as you make out.
