Cooling fan dead

Radiator fan is toast on the 350, any recommendations out there on a replacement unit. Have the spoiler off at present so access isn't an issue.

Suggest a Kenlow or similar with overide switch application so that it only comes on when you want it to.
Dunno what mine is but it is the same set up and works ok

I've always found spal fans to be very good quality. a bit more expensive than other but worth it.

Tripac or Davies Craig fans, good/bad ? The Tripac looks best, but would rather fit one that works. Unlike the Kenlow which never seemed up to much (other than stressing me out on a hot day that is)....

Have you checked the fan by wiring a 12v supply direct to the motor ?

As I thought mine had gone on a 350, but it turned out after buying a new kenlow it still would not switch on as the connector had corroded in the join from wiring loom to fan !

Twin 12" should fit, but do check! Also check that the wiring is in good nick.

I bought a pair of smaller fans for another car from www.carbuildersolutions.co.uk and they work very well. dont know how they compare to Kenlowe/Pacet etc, but I have no complaints.

Plus, twin fans sound the dogs nuts compared to the old grumblygrumblygrumbly-mybearingsareshot-grumblygrumbly fan (not that it doesnt work, but it just doesnt sound as good!).

the one's on Car builder look like the ones I got with my Cosworth Radiator, I've had to have one replaced allready and the other one is a bit flaky. they have a quite crude brush design. with a car with such poor access I would not want to use these fans on a road car.
Spal fans will cost your twice as much but I think are worth it.

The twin Cosworth setup at the bottom should fit fine.

I believe mine are the twin ones from a Griff. they were fitted when the rad was done and I believe need some mods to the mounting but they do keep the car very cool (which is what I needed for track use).

I'm 90% sure the twin Griff units was made by spal.

Ive just had the same problem, I got a cheapo from ebay £43.69 total. Works ok? just had to drill 4 new holes. Seller: jbimotorsport

Getting quoted 140+ for a 13" spal fan. Looks like its going to have to be a different make.

I noticed at the Caterham factory visit, I went to on saturday morning, that all there cars are fitted with spal. Fans. you sould be able to get one for less than £100. did you speak to M.philips

Yes, he wants 112 + Vat & Del (142). That is for a 13" Fan. Smaller would be cheaper, but I am thinking 2 x 12" cheep fans may be the ticket. But am waiting on some prices from a mate with a trade account first. But Ebay is looking favorite at present.

Yes I must be thinking about the 12" ones as I got 2 of them on the 400SE, and just got change of £200, the twin cosworth setup, I posted should fit ok. but that's close to £200 also.

may be tempted to sell you my 2 x 12 ebay fan's and upgrade to spal ones. if you want.
